Disaster Management
In the era of lean management many companies require considerable
post-loss assistance in dealing with the additional workload imposed
by the effects of an incident.
This is at a time when the existing management should be concentrating
on business recovery, maintaining contact with customers and ensuring
that business momentum is sustained.
Our aim is to provide a multi-faceted disaster management service
that will deal with all aspects of building and machinery repair
and replacement leaving the existing management to concentrate
on normal management duties and essential post-loss customer liaison.
In our experience many companies suffer serious damage to their
business because of major management involvement in handling a
claim.
Fee
and Claims Negotiation
We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority
(ref. 300487) to assist in the administration and performance
of insurance contracts.
We do not hold client money.
We act for
policyholders and brokers in negotiating rejected and contested
claims, particularly in areas such as alleged breach of warranty,
policy conditions, policy exclusions and non-disclosure.
We
also act for policyholders in the negotiation of uncontested
insurance
claims where the client simply wants the expertise of their
own chartered loss adjusters to recover a correct settlement
under
the terms of the insurance cover available.
Our fees are
generally not recoverable from the Insurers. The client has
to pay
us, but we may well find areas of the policy where the client
did
not realize that there was a valid claim for some particular
expense.
Our fees are in this way often cushioned by
an enhanced settlement.
We are happy to negotiate fees individually
with
each client, to suit each project.
We will always agree
a
clear and
fair basis of charging a client, before any client
commits to a contract with us.
We can often work on a simple
No Win No Fee
arrangement, if the client wishes this.
We may
charge a previously agreed turnout fee for an on-site review
of
any particular
claim.
